History & Infrastructure :Location: The Industrial Training Institute Una is situated at a distance of about 18 K.M .from Nangal on Nangal Hoshiarpur Road The Institution started functioning in the year 1966 in its own building under the control of Department of Industries and was Earlier known as Rural Industrial Training Institute.

In 1967 The Institution was first having three trades viz fitter ,Turner, and carpenter and trade of Motor Mechanic was added in 1983. In 1983, the institution came under the control of department of Technical Education vocational and Industrial Training Himachal Pradesh

Centre of Excellence In Automobile Sector : ITI UNA has been selected among 100 ITI’s in the country by DGE&T(Directorate General of Employment & Training), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India for Centrally Sponsored Plan Scheme of Up gradation of ITI’s into “Centers of Excellence” in “AUTOMOBILE Sector”.

These centers will be providing “Multiskill Training” to meet the skill requirement of particular sector of industry with the active involvement of the industry in all aspects of training.
